What comes to mind when you hear the word prejudice? You may think of conflicts due to skin color, gender, religion, culture, or background. Discrimination against these attributes is something the human race has been dealing with since the beginning of time.
Our plight against slavery, racial inequality, sexism, and discrimination in general makes up much of our world’s history. However, prejudice remains a problem today.
To some extent, it is safe to assume that most people have been discrimated against for some reason. But who’s to blame for prejudice, and what can be done to stop it from spreading?
Take part in this week’s open discussion. Make your opinions heard, and hear what others have to say. As put by Henry David Thoreau, “it is never too late to give up your prejudices.”
The lights are out. Now it’s your turn to make a difference.
